What's new
Version numbers: major changes +1.0.0, new functionality +0.1.0, minor fixes +0.0.1.
1.2.0
- Label sizes: Half page (2 per sheet) and Quarter page (4 per sheet), with dashed cut lines, alongside Full page and the Avery sheets.
- Print or Save now asks first: Print, Save or Share PDF, or Cancel.
- Print goes straight to the phone's print screen (AirPrint on iPhone, the system print screen on Android).
- The inventory PDF gets the same Print / Save or Share / Cancel choice.
1.1.1
- The quick option for a photo of books is now labeled "Add keywords".
1.1.0
- Books from a photo: check the count with − and + before saving.
- Choose how to save books: Add keywords saves one item with the count as its quantity, plus the photo and every word read. Each title saves one item per book.
- Keywords: Find searches them, and the item editor shows them under "Words in the photo" so they can be edited.
-
Better book counting in mixed photos:
- Upside-down spines are read.
- Stacked and standing books are counted separately.
- Unread books at either end of a stack are kept.
- Two books whose boundary was missed are split apart.
- Author names stay out of book titles, co-authors included.
1.0.0
- Storage tree: Rooms, Shelves and Bins/Boxes, up to three levels (Room → Shelf → Bin), each level optional.
- Items: name, quantity, photos, tags, notes, value, and status (In storage, In use, Gone). Swipe to move or delete.
- Add from a photo: on-device suggestions of what's in a bin (Apple Vision on iPhone, ML Kit on Android). Nothing is uploaded.
- Books: titles read from spines and covers, one suggestion per book, a count of books in the photo, and an optional Books tag.
- Find: search everything, with filters for place, tag and status. Results show the bin and the path to it.
- QR labels: Full page, Avery 5163 (2 × 4 in) and Avery 5160 (1 × 2⅝ in). Each label shows the bin name, where it lives, the first few things inside and the print date.
-

- Scanning a label in Box Retriever opens the bin.

- Backup: export and restore everything, photos included.
